Genesis 1:28

In Genesis God tells man to “be fruitful and multiply.” As Christians we can look at this in a different way. We can be fruitful Christians and multiply God’s kingdom.

As Christians it is our duty to constantly be working and spreading the Gospel. We should never be going through the motions. If you are not growing you’re wrong! 1 Corinthians 15:58 says we should be “always abounding in the work of the Lord,” and 2 Peter 3:18 says “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge.” As you can see we need to be growing otherwise we become lukewarm (Revelation 3:16).

In James 4:17 we are told that if we know what we should be doing and don’t it is sinful. So becoming lukewarm is very dangerous. So let’s look at Genesis 1:28 in a new way and be fruitful Christians who grow God’s Kingdom.
